1.0 General description
=======================
This fix provides packaged JREs for the Application Support
Installer for all platforms. These packaged binaries are
required for version IBM Tivoli Monitoring 6.3.0 Application
Support Installer and for silent install on Linux® and Linux
zSeries® for version IBM Tivoli Monitoring 6.2.1 or higher.


2.0 Architecture and prerequisites
==================================
This fix is supported for IBM Tivoli Monitoring, version 6.2.1
or higher.

2.1 Prerequisites for this fix
------------------------------
The prerequisite level for this fix is as follows:
- IBM Tivoli Monitoring, Version 6.2.1 or higher.

4.0 Installation instructions
=============================
This fix can only be installed over an existing installation. Use
the following steps to install this fix.

4.1 Before installing the fix
-----------------------------
- The prerequisites listed under section 2.1, "Prerequisites
for this fix", must be installed before this fix can be installed.

4.2 Agent support update
------------------------
Use the following steps to update the Tivoli Enterprise Monitoring
Server, Tivoli Enterprise Portal Server, or Tivoli Enterprise Portal
Desktop using the Application Support Installer(ASI).

1. Place the setup<platform>.bin or setupwin32.exe file in the
CD-ROM directory of the fix being applied, where setup<platform>
means the name of the binary file listed in Section 3. For example,
if it is a Windows machine, then setupwin32.exe would be copied to
the CD-ROM directory. If it is an AIX machine then setupaix.bin
would be used.

2. Start the Application Support Installer by using the following command
from within the CD-ROM directory where the setup<platform>.bin or
setupwin32.exe file is located. The script will detect the
setup<platform>.bin or setupwin32.exe file and use this to install
the support files.

UNIX/Linux:
> ./itmasi.sh [-h {ITM home}] [-silent] [-r {response file}] [-j {JAVAHOME}]

Windows:
> itmasi.bat [-h {ITM home}] [-silent] [-r {response file}] [-j {JAVAHOME}]

3. If the Tivoli Enterprise Portal Desktop or Tivoli Enterprise Portal
Browser was running when the update was installed, it must be
restarted.
