Prerequisites

If this is your first installation of Rational DOORS for HP Quality Center Interface, you need to obtain a license from IBM. You also need to install version 1.3, 1.4, 1.5 or 2.0 of the Rational License Server TL or version 8.1.1 of the Rational License Key Server.

If you already have a license to run version 3.1, 3.2, 3.3, 3.4, or 3.5, you can use that license for Rational DOORS for HP Quality Center Interface version 3.5.1

Known Side Effects

There are no open defects to report.

Issue: Integration with HP Quality Center version 11.5 might result in performance problems during requirements synchronization from Rational DOORS to HP Quality Center. Integrations with HP Quality Center versions 10 and 11 are not impacted by these problems though.

After upgrading HP Quality Center Interface from version 3.5.0.1 to 3.5.0.2, you cannot synchronize requirements and tasks in Rational DOORS.

The following new features are available in this release.

  • Support for Microsoft 2003 Server 64 bit
    Rational DOORS for HP Quality Center Interface now supports installation on Microsoft 2003 Server 64 bit when used in conjunction with HP Quality Center version 10, version 11, and version 11.5.

  • Support for Microsoft Windows 2003 32 bit and 64 bit
    Rational DOORS for HP Quality Center Interface now supports installation on Microsoft Windows 2003 32 bit and 64 bit when used in conjunction with HP Quality Center version 11.5.

  • Access Control Functionality
    Access Control Functionality introduces a new QCIAdmin Group. Users belonging to this group can perform all operations like creation, modification and deletion of following items:
    • Data Connection
    • Integration Map
    • Data Endpoints
    • Task
    • Attribute Map

  • License check: Any use of the Administration tool would acquire a QCI license
    QCI license on a license server is consumed when QCI Admin tool is started and this license is released when QCI Admin tool is stopped.

  • More efficient synchronization of data where QC has data under change control For Version Control Enabled QC Project QCI will create new version only for those DOORS Objects which are modified since previous synchronization.
