PROBLEM SUMMARY
USERS AFFECTED:
Users of IBM Websphere Application Server version 6.0.2, 6.1, and 7.0 deploying applications that contain an ibm-jcajndi.props file and an embedded resource adapter.
PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
When deploying an application that contains an ibm-jcajndi.props file, the "Provide JNDI names for JCA objects" task is not using the values specified in the props file. This causes incorrect bindings for a connection factory to be used.
RECOMMENDATION:
None
Using the Administrative Console when deploying an application with ibm-jcajndi.props inside the ear, the step "Provide JNDI names for JCA objects" is not pulling the values from the above properties file. This causes incorrect values to be shown in the bindings section.
PROBLEM CONCLUSION:
Changed the code to use the connection factory settings in the ibm-jcajndi.props file if present.
