Abstract

This document provides the download URL to Rational Rose RealTime version 7.0.0.1, which is Fix Pack 1 for v7.0.

Download Description

IBM Rational Rose RealTime 7.0.0.1 includes fixes for the following Rose RealTime components:

  • Rose RealTime C
  • C++
  • ClearCase Integration
  • Connexis
  • Code Generation
  • Model Integrator
  • Rose RealTime Toolset

This Fix Pack must be installed in Rose RealTime 7.0.0.0. Refer to the Installation Instructions, below.

The Rose RealTime 7.0.0.1 Release Notes (download below) includes information describing any known issues and the fixes included.

Prerequisites

Verify Rational Rose RealTime 7.0.0.0 is installed.

Rose RealTime Windows
Go to Start > Programs > Rational Software > Rational Software Installed Product Information.

Rose RealTime Solaris/Linux
Click Help > About Rational Rose RealTime and verify the version is 6.6.2213.

Installation Instructions

To download and install Rational Rose RealTime 7.0.0.1, follow these steps:

Note: Before upgrading to Rose RealTime v7.0.01:

  • Verify Rose RealTime v7.0 is installed
  • Review the v7.0.0.1 (Fix Pack 1) Release Notes

    • This Release includes changes to the TargetRTS which are described in the Release Notes.


Rose RealTime Windows
  1. Download the Rational Rose RealTime Fix Pack 7.0.0.1 Fix Pack to your computer.
    (Note: This .zip file includes both the English and Japanese .msp Fix Packs.)


  2. Extract the 7.0.0.1-RATL-RRRT-WIN-all-FP01.zip file.


  3. Double-click on the appropriate .msp file to start installation:
    • English Install: 7.0.0.1-RATL-RRRT-WIN-en-US-FP01.msp

    • Japanese Install: 7.0.0.1-RATL-RRRT-WIN-ja-JP-FP01.msp

  4. Follow the on-screen instructions to install the Fix Pack.

    To install in v7.0.0.0 Release Area:

    Install each .msp file in the v7.0.0.0 Release Area:
    msiexec /p <name of the msp> /a <msi file in the release area>


Rose RealTime Solaris/Linux
  1. Download the Rational Rose RealTime Solaris and/or Linux Fix Pack 7.0.0.1 Fix Pack to your computer.


  2. Backup (rename) the files listed in the Rose RealTime v7.0.0.1 Solaris/Linux Release Notes, under the section Files Updated or Added by this Fix Pack
    3. .

  3. Copy the Fix Pack:

    RoseRT_[platform].70.FixPack1_3044.tar.gz


    in $ROSERT_HOME
    4. .


  4. cd $ROSERT_HOME


  5. gunzip < RoseRT_[platform].70.FixPack1_3044.tar.gz | tar xpf -
