Resolving The Problem
Administrators who experience installation errors on QRadar M3 appliances can set the boot loader manually to resolve the 'failed to set new efi boot target' error message.

From the error message 'failed to set new efi boot target' error message, type Yes to reboot the M3 appliance.

To access the BIOS system setup, press the F1 key while the system is powering on.

Select bootmgr.

Select boot from file.

Select the first option default boot entry then choose /EFI/redhat/grubx64.efi
Results
After the changes are saved, the system should start the QRadar installation without issue. If you continue to experience issues related to this error message open a case with QRadar Support for assistance with the QRadar installation.
