Failed to install the IBM QRadar DNS Analyzer Dashboard to the QRadar Pulse app

Troubleshooting


Problem

The installation of the IBM QRadar DNS Analyzer Dashboard to the QRadar Pulse app fails. This article includes workaround information.

Symptom

When attempting to install the IBM QRadar DNS Analyzer Dashboard to the QRadar Pulse app in the IBM QRadar DNS Analyzer Settings page on the QRadar Console, the following error message is displayed:
Error uploading DNS Analyzer dashboard to QRadar Pulse.

Diagnosing The Problem

Administrators can confirm the error message is displayed after performing the following task:

  1. On the QRadar Console, click the Admin tab.
  2. Click the IBM QRadar DNS Analyzer Settings icon.
  3. On the IBM QRadar DNS Analyzer Settings page, click Install.
  4. Verify the error message is displayed:
    Error uploading DNS Analyzer dashboard to QRadar Pulse.

Resolving The Problem

Steps to resolve this issue:

  1. Click the QRadar Pulse tab on the QRadar Console.
  2. On the Admin tab, click the IBM QRadar DNS Analyzer Settings icon.
  3. In the Install DNS Analyzer dashboard on QRadar Pulse app entry of the Add-on Settings section, click Install .

    Results
    If installation is successful, the text on the Install button displays "Installed".
