Adding Owner field to Create Service Requests

Problem

This document will give your through the steps to achieve this purpose.

Symptom

While creating a Service Request, users may need the field "Owner" to enter owner information into it.
The SR owner will then query requests by filtering "Owner" field in app Service Desk > Service Requests.

How to add the "Owner" field in screen used to Create Service Requests ?

Resolving The Problem

In order to achieve the expected result above you need to follow some steps :

1- Go to Application Designer and search for CREATESR application
2- Click on Control Palette and drag the Text control to the desired area
3- Right click on that field and select Properties
4- Ensure the attribute value is selected from SR object, OWNER attribute
5- Enter PERSON on the Lookup field
7- Save your changes. You're done.

This way, whenever you create a Service Request in the Create Service Request app, you should be able to enter Owner information on the SR, which will help you to query by person on the Service Requests app
