Question

How can I get a listing of the HBAs that are monitored with Spectrum Control 5.2.x and their detailed properties?

Answer

The HBA details for a server in the Spectrum Control GUI are only available after drilling into the internal resources and viewing the controller information for a particular server. These details are not available in the higher level Servers view where the details of multiple servers can be viewed at once.

If viewing this data by individual servers is not sufficient, generating a custom report in IBM Cognos Query Studio using the properties for Server Controllers is an alternative. These details are available in the Capacity and Relationships package.



Select the desired properties and choose Insert to add them to a report. The available controllers and property data from the database will be included in a customizable report.



Refer to the Cognos Business Intelligence Knowledge Center to create more sophisticated reports.
