Show actions have no effect during Visual Debug when Show Execution Path mode is enabled

Troubleshooting

Problem

When using Visual Debug in standard mode in z/OS Debugger, selecting the Show All, Show Program Control Flow from here and Show Program Control Flow to here menu action from the context menu in the Program Control Flow view has no effect , when in Only Show Current Execution Path mode.

Cause

Starting from fix pack 14.0.0.4, Only Show Current Execution Path mode is the default setting when you use Visual Debug. In Only Show Current Execution path mode, the Show Program Control Flow view actions do not have any effects. For more information about this mode, see IBM Knowledge Center.

To use the Program Control view Show actions, disable the Only Show Current Execution Path mode by deselecting Only Show Current Execution Path from the drop-down menu of the Visual Debug toolbar button.

Resolving The Problem

If a user wishes to use the Program Control view Show actions, disable the Only Show Current Execution Path mode by deselecting it from the drop down menu of the Visual Debug toolbar button.
