Question & Answer
Question
Which path does DB2 use for log retrieval?
Answer
If overflow log path is defined, the log files are retrieved from achive path to this path.
When there is no overflow log path defined, it is by design to create another LOGSTREAM0000 folder inside the active log path when retrieving log files.
This extra LOGSTREAM0000 is usually referred as "sub-directory under active log path".
Example :
If active log path is: /XXXX/NODE0000/LOGSTREAM0000/
Log will be retrieved to: /XXXX/NODE0000/LOGSTREAM0000/LOGSTREAM0000/
Any operation that results in log files being retrieved will behave this way.
