Problem
What information to collect to diagnose and resolve IBM Jazz Reporting Service (JRS) issues when there is wrong data already in data warehouse.
Symptom
The generated SQL query in the data warehouse does not contain the data expected in the report. See more information in the TechNote 1986643: MustGather: Investigating problems with displaying wrong data when using Jazz Reporting Service point 3.
Cause
There are many reasons why the data in the data source of your report might not match the expected results. This MustGather will assist you in collecting the data necessary to help you diagnose and resolve the issue. If you are unable to determine the root cause using the information collected, you should open a PMR for further investigation providing the data collected.
Resolving The Problem
The information below should be gathered:
- Gather the basic data about the system and the issue according to the technote 1986643: MustGather: Investigating problems with displaying wrong data when using Jazz Reporting Service points 1-3.
- Check if the data reported on is a dictionary for given application. This information is available under following links: Data dictionary for change and configuration artifacts, Data dictionary for test artifacts and Data dictionary for requirement artifacts.
- Check IBM Data Collection Component (DCC) job status and the latest time of the job ran on https://your-server:port/dcc/web#action=com.ibm.rational.datacollection.manageResources.dataCollectionJobStatus. Make a screen snapshot of the jobs.
- Check if the user performing DCC job has a "CCM Data Collector" license assigned. The user name for standard license is "dcc_user". Make a screen snapshot of available licenses for this user in admin panel.
- Make a tiny change in the affected artifact in the application. Check if after that the data is updated.
- Provide DCC log files according to Report Builder log files document.
