Troubleshooting
Problem
During the login procedure to the IBM® Tivoli® Storage Productivity Center for Replication for System z® GUI, the message "IWNR4006E The user name and/or password is invalid" can occur, even though you are attempting to log in with the correct user id and password. This should be the user id and password that were created by the IWNRACF job. This user id must have the appropriate permissions to access the UNIX services environment.
Cause
This can happen when running Tivoli Storage Productivity Center for Replication for System z with program control enabled in the UNIX System Services.
Environment
IBM System z
Diagnosing The Problem
Error message IWNR4006E will display when you attempt to log in to Tivoli Storage Productivity Center for Replication for System z. Errors ICH420I and BPXP014I will be written to the SDSF started task log.
To view these messages, open the started tasks job log:
1. Enter 'ST' on the SDSF Primary Option Menu.
2. Enter 'S' next to the appropriate task number in the job status list.
You see the following messages:
ICH420I PROGRAM BPXBATSL FROM LIBRARY SYS1.LINKLIB CAUSED THE
ENVIRONMENT TO BECOME UNCONTROLLED
BPXP014I ENVIRONMENT MUST BE CONTROLLED FOR DAEMON (BPX.DAEMON)
PROCESSING.
Resolving The Problem
To resolve the problem, issue the following TSO commands:
RALTER PROGRAM * ADDMEM('SYS1.LINKLIB'//NOPADCHK)
RALTER PROGRAM * ADDMEM('SYS1.CSSLIB'//NOPADCHK)
SETR WHEN(PROGRAM) REFRESH
Then restart the server and log in to Tivoli Storage Productivity Center for Replication for System z.
