Start Center not loading correctly if URL is saved as favorite bookmark

Problem

This document explains one of the possible causes for the Start Center not loading correctly in Maximo

Symptom

You may experience an issue where the Start Center is not loading correctly when URL is saved in browser favorite bookmark.

All links and images appear as broken.


Resolving The Problem

We recommend you to make sure that you get a new session ID in Maximo.

For this, you will need to set the bookmark to
(removing any connection, user, session ID details, etc.. from the URL)

This will make Maximo get a new session ID, and that's how it was designed.

When you use the the second time - the original session ID is used from the previous login.

This is the reason why you will need to use the
to have another session ID generated.

When using the same session ID - the issue of the icons being invalid will appear.

To resolve this behavior - the will need to be referenced.

FYI , there is a technote that is not directly related to this issue but can be helpful if you experience the issue where upon initially logging in to Maximo, the Start Center and Go To menu icons appear as broken links. (but in this case, navigating away from the Start Center and then returning shows images correctly)
