ANS4007E, ANS5250E, and ANS2627W messages during restore

Troubleshooting


Problem

Restore of files may fail with ANS4007E, ANS5250E, and ANS2627W messages indicating that the respective files could not be properly written or overwritten.

Symptom

During the restore of files you may see the following messages indicating a failure to properly write the files:

ANS4007E Error processing '\\sgaycmg860\c$\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\McAfee\Engine\x64\Mscan64a.dll': access to the object is denied

ANS5250E An unexpected error was encountered.                        
   TSM function name : SetFileSecurityInfo                            
   TSM function      : CreateFile() returned '2' for file 'C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\McAfee\Engine\x64\Mscan64a.dll'              
   TSM return code   : 104                                            
   TSM file          : ..\..\common\fio\ntfileio.cpp (9911)            
ANS2627W The NTFS security attributes for object                      
'C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\McAfee\Engine\x64\Mscan64a.dll'  
could not be set. Windows system error code: 2; reason: 'The system    
cannot find the file specified.'. Default NTFS security attributes have

ANS5250E An unexpected error was encountered.

ANS2627W The NTFS security attributes for object                      
'C:\ProgramData\McAfee\Common Framework\Current\VSCANENG1000\Engine\0000'
could not be set. Windows system error code: 5; reason: 'Access is    
denied.'. Default NTFS security attributes have been set.

Cause

Antivirus software is denying access to the filesystem objects.

Resolving The Problem

Disable antivirus software processes.
