Is it possible to use SAP HANA Multitenant Database Containers (MDC) with Tivoli Storage Manager for Enterprise Resource Planing (ERP) DP 6.4.1?

Answer

In order to use SAP HANA Multitenant Database Containers (MDC) with Tivoli Storage Manager ERP DP 6.4.1 the following information is important:

It is possible and supported to setup the TDP for SAP HANA on MDC with the current release, by using an adjusted setup.
The updated setup procedure will be provided upon request. Please contact IBM support for a copy.

It is planned to have a future release that has the change to accommodate the SAP HANA MDC.
Currently this is targeted for 3Q 2015 (but subject to change at the discretion of IBM).

For minimum level of the SAP HANA code, please refer to the HANA documentation.

Native support for SAP HANA MDC is available with Version 7.1.3 and newer of IBM Spectrum Protect™ for Enterprise Resource Planning.
