Duplicating an application using Application Design and getting BMXAA4191E error

Troubleshooting

Problem

In Application Designer, when trying to duplicate application definition, the following error message is shown: BMXAA4191E - The value XX is not valid for Language. Specify a valid value for Language. Default language is EN.

Resolving The Problem

Run the following statements in a Database Tool.

select * from l_maxapps
select * from l_sigoption
select * from l_maxlabels
select * from l_maxmenu

If you have only EN/US language installed, those tables should be empty.

1. Do a back up of Maximo database
2. Delete all the values from l_maxapps
3. Delete all the values from l_sigoption
4. Delete all the values from l_maxlabels
5. Delete all the values from l_maxmenu
6. Commit the database
7. Restart the Application Server
8. Try to duplicate the application.
