Problem
The "tacmd histconfiguregroups" command is used to manually configure historical collection. The command fails to configure "KSK_ACTIVITY_SUMMARY".
Symptom
The following commands are used to configure historical collection for "KSK_ACTIVITY_SUMMARY" :
#export warehouseinterval=1h
#export collectioninterval=1h
#summarizationdetails=HDWMQY
#cd /opt/tivoli/tsm/reporting/itm/bin
# ./tacmd histconfiguregroups -u $itmuser -t SK -i $warehouseinterval -c $collectioninterval -d $summarizationdetails -o "KSK ACTIVITY SUMMARY"
The tacmd command logs the following messages :
Password?
KUIHCG001I Validating user credentials...
KUIHCG016E The attribute group name "KSK_ACTIVITY_SUMMARY" is invalid for product "Tivoli Storage Manager".
Cause
The "KSK_ACTIVITY_SUMMARY" attribute group was introduced starting with Reporting and Monitoring agent V6.3.3. The command fails when trying to configure "KSK_ACTIVITY_SUMMARY" using an earlier version of Reporting and Monitoring agent.
Environment
Tivoli Monitoring for tivoli Storage Manager prior to V6.3.3
Diagnosing The Problem
Option KSK_SUMM_ON which used to configure attribute group KSK_ACTIVITY_SUMMARY is not available in the sk.ini file.
Resolving The Problem
Ignore the error for Monitoring agent prior to V6.3.3. Upgrade the agent to V6.3.3 or higher in order to configure or view report of ACTIVITY_SUMMARY.
