Problem

Error BMXAA0259E is observed when trying to send an email

Symptom

Email notification could not be sent if the sender's email address is not a proper email address

Diagnosing The Problem

If a proper email address in not entered in the Send From field, the email notification will not be sent. The following error will be displayed:

Error BMXAA0259E - The e-mail cannot be sent. null

The email will only be sent if a proper email address is entered in the Send From field (for example abc@xyz.com).

Resolving The Problem

This is not a Maximo related issue. You need to check the email server policy if sending an email without a proper sender's email address is allowed.
