IBM Initiate - Why Merge Record Attributes Can Be Most Current Attributes

Troubleshooting

Problem

Within Inspector EMCA composite view [Search on EID], the most current or recent attributes will be displayed. If said attribute belongs to a Merged record, then why is it displayed?

Cause

The following link and its content explains the Entity Most Current Attributes [EMCA] view:
http://pic.dhe.ibm.com/infocenter/mdm/v10r1/index.jsp?topic=%2Fcom.ibm.mdshs.patientsolution.doc%2Ftopics%2Fr_patientsolution_composite_views.html

An Entity Most Current Attribute composite view displays the most current attributes for any member within a defined linkage (members that share a common Enterprise ID) and combines the attributes so that the view of the entity (for example, person) is a conglomeration of attributes from your various source systems.

NOTE: Therefore a Most Current Attribute will be displayed despite the status of a member record such as Merged.
If an attribute of a Merged record is more current or recent than the survivor's corresponding attribute, then it is still valid for that member [or person] since it was associated to the Entity.
