How can I find the Java Process ID (PID) when running TRIRIGA using WebSphere and Windows?

Question & Answer

Question

I am using Windows and WebSphere and running IBM TRIRIGA Platform, and want to know the Windows PID process related to this run.

Cause

Need to know the exact PID process related to the specific JVM (Server) I am running.

Answer

When running IBM TRIRIGA Platform on Windows and using IBM WebSphere product as your Application server, if you go to the WebSphere log folder for your server (JVM) at “…ibm\websphere\appserver\profiles\<profilename>\logs\<servername>”, you will be able to find a "<servername>.pid" file if system is up and running, and if you open it you will see the Windows PID process related to this run.

For checking if system is up and running, use Windows Services for finding the respective service entry for your IBM WebSphere <servername>:
