Description:
A local buffer overrun in the IBM Tivoli Storage Manager (TSM) Windows and Macintosh backup-archive client Java GUI Configuration Wizard and Preferences Editor can cause the wizard and editor to crash or hang.
No escalation of privilege is known to be possible from this vulnerability.

TSM Backup-Archive client at these release levels:
- 6.4: 6.4.0.0 through 6.4.1.x, where x=2 for Windows and x=4 for Mac
- 6.3: 6.3.0.0 through 6.3.1.2
- 6.2: 6.2.0.0 through 6.2.5.1
- 6.1: all levels. TSM 6.1 is beyond End of Support.
- 5.5: all levels, Windows only. TSM 5.5 is beyond End of Support.
- 5.4: all levels, Windows only. TSM 5.4 is beyond End of Support
