db2dart utility fails to run successfully if the database is not quiesced

Question

Ensuring the server database is quiesced before running db2dart.

Cause

The database was not quiesced prior to running db2dart.

Answer

Ensure the Tivoli Storage Manager server database is quiesced before running the db2dart utility.
1) Halt the Tivoli Storage Manager server, wait several minutes to ensure the db has had time to quiesce
2) Start a db2 command window from the Windows Start menu:

Start -> IBM DB2 -> DB2TSM1->Command Line Tools->Command Window

3) Issue the following commands from a db2 command window to check the
database:

db2stop (this may return a message 'SQL1032N No start database manager
command was issued. SQLSTATE=57019' indicating the db manager is
already stopped)

db2dart tsmdb1 /db
