Problem
If a discovery only finds changes to interfaces that are specific to ExtraInfo fields, is that enough to update ncim as a change?
Environment
An example for one discovery an interface has a field
ExtraInfo->m_IfDescr = 'interface to development'
and on the next discovery it changes to
ExtraInfo->m_IfDescr = 'interface moved'
Diagnosing The Problem
ncim data can be reviewed in the interfaces table in ncim
Resolving The Problem
Even though the IP address and EntityName may not have changed, even a small change to an ExtraInfo field during discovery will be enough that model will update ncim with this new information. Even if the managedStatus for an interface is equal to 2.
