Problem

CTJOX0101E There is an API execution error: java.rmi.ConnectException after port changed in collation.properties

Symptom

While running an ITIC sync from TADDM 7.2.0.x get the following error:


CTJOX0101E There is an API execution error: java.rmi.ConnectException.


Only change was the api port which was changed in the $COLLAtION_HOME/dist/etc/collation.properties to a custom port.

Double checked the $COLLATION_HOME/dist/etc/collation.properties/com.collation.api.port to ensure the port shows correct

Login into the TADDM console also seems to work without issues.

Resolving The Problem

Check the api.sh(bat) script located in $COLLATION_HOME/dist/sdk/bin on the server to ensure that the port in the script has changed from the default 9530 port to the custom port set in the collation.properties file.

Beside changing the port manually, the api port can also be changed with the following api command. This command ensures both the collation.properties file and api.sh(bat) script to be updated.

./api.sh -u administrator -p <password> -P <newPortNumber>
