Problem
After you migrate to Websphere MQ (WMQ) V7.1 or greater on IBMi from an earlier release you notice that the all of the WMQ jobs now have a status of semaphore wait (SEMW). Is this normal?
Resolving The Problem
Yes, this is working as designed at WMQ V7.1 and greater. The WMQ job statuses(OPT 22) on IBMi will now reflect a state of SEMW.
