Troubleshooting
Problem
The SSL properties file specified when running MDM transactions contains the location of the SSL keystore and truststore files. This location can’t be accessed and as a result, transaction execution fails with these errors.
Cause
The SSL properties file selected when running the transaction specifies a “user.root” folder that the system either can’t find, can’t access or does not itself contain an ‘etc’ folder where the key and trust stores are located or can be created. Information on certificates and keys is stored in this location when interacting with a WebSphere server.
Diagnosing The Problem
When deploying transactions the console shows errors “ssl.self.signed.create.error.CWPKI0032E” and/or “ssl.client.keystore.create.error.CWPKI0031E”. Examine the specified SSL properties file and determine if the “user.root” property relates to an invalid folder or if the folder is valid but does not contain and “etc” folder.
