Troubleshooting
Problem
Newer versions of the application toolkit TWX file cannot be imported into IBM Process Designer because the names of the TWX files are identical.
Cause
The Policy Enforcement samples include a version of application toolkit called MDM AT 11.0. The application toolkit periodically releases an updated version (also called MDM AT 11.0).
Unfortunately, IBM Process Designer does not allow you to import a TWX file with the same name.
- If the Policy Enforcement sample TWX file is imported first, when you attempt to import the application toolkit TWX file (which is newer) the import fails because, according to IBM Process Designer, MDM AT 11.0 is already installed.
- If the application toolkit TWX file is imported first, the attempt to import the sample TWX file will fail. However, since the application toolkit TWX file is newer, the sample will perform properly.
Environment
IBM Business Process Designer
Resolving The Problem
If the Policy Enforcement sample TWX file is imported first, use the steps below to rename the currently installed TWX file before you install the application toolkit TWX file.
The following steps should be performed by a system administrator.
- Open the IBM Process Designer.
- Select the Toolkits tab.
- In the list of Toolkits, select MDM Application Toolkit.
- Under the Manage section, mark the Allow users to update toolkit checkbox.
- In the Snapshots section, right-click on MDM AT 11.0 and select Edit.
- Specify a different name for the snapshot. For example: MDM AT 11.0 Previous.
- Import the version 11.0 application toolkit TWX file using the steps in
