IIB Mustgather: Problems with MQ FTE on UNIX and Linux

Troubleshooting


Problem

You are experiencing a problem with the MQ File Transfer Edition (FTE) nodes with IBM Integration Bus (IIB) on UNIXes and Linux.
This MustGather document explains how to generate diagnostic data needed by IBM Support to investigate this issue.

Environment

These instructions are for IBM Integration Bus on AIX, HP-UX, Linux, and Solaris systems.

Resolving The Problem

IBM Support will need these diagnostics to investigate this issue:
 
  1. mqsidc
  2. Project Interchange and BAR files for the problematic application or message flow
  3. Traces
    • service level trace of the Integration Server will capture the FTE agent processing on the Integration Server.
  4. FTE Agent information
    • Output the FTEAgent properties:
      • mqsireportproperties {Int.Node} -e {Int.Server} -o FTEAgent -r
    • A directory listing of {MQSI_WORKPATH}/common/FTE
 

ATTENTION: A good problem description is one of the most important tools IBM needs to analyze your data!
When sending data to IBM, be sure to update your problem ticket with additional information:

  • Tell us what errors you saw, where you saw them, and what time they happened.
  • Let us know if you made any changes before the problem occurred.
  • Share any other observations which you think will help us to better understand the problem.
