Abstract

This document describes the software and firmware stack validated for the IBM PureData System for Operational Analytics V1.0 (A1791).

Content


IBM Support recommends that you remain on the validated stack for an IBM PureData System for Operational Analytics V1.0 environment to help ensure the stability of your system. The software and firmware levels within a validated stack have been installed, preconfigured, and validated by IBM as a solution stack and should be updated only by installing IBM PureData System for Operational Analytics fix packs.

Client software can be installed only on a client system external to the IBM PureData System for Operational Analytics environment. This restriction applies to IBM Data Studio, IBM InfoSphere Warehouse Design Studio, IBM Cognos Business Intelligence, and IBM InfoSphere Optim Query Workload Tuner for DB2 for Linux, UNIX, and Windows.

For SAP-enabled environments, SAP Netweaver BW is required. SAP Netweaver BW must be installed on server systems that are external to the IBM PureData System for Operational Analytics environment. This software package is purchased separately.
