Troubleshooting
Problem
Attempts to execute command syntax results in error message referencing '5332'.
Symptom
Attempts to execute command syntax results in error message referencing '5332' and failure to execute command.
Cause
The Statistics program is attempting to temporarily save data to the hard drive but is not permitted to write to the Statistics program installation folder.
Environment
Any operating system with security account control effective at the folder/directory level.
Diagnosing The Problem
Check the user account settings on the Statistics installation folder/directory. Some accounts will not have 'write' permissions to the folder/directory.
Resolving The Problem
The precise actions required will depend upon the permissions/security control mechanisms of the operating system where the Statistics program is installed. In general, you will wish to identify the 'least-permitted' (generic user) account on the operating system and give this account 'modify' rights to the Statistics program installation folder/directory. For example, on Windows operating system, this was accomplished by giving the 'Users' account 'modify' rights to the Statistics installation folder. Alternatively, you can un-install and re-install the program according to the method specified for the operating system as indicated in the Installation Instructions appropriate to your product license.
