IBM Support

With IBM Worklight or IBM Mobile Foundation, the Worklight Studio installation on Eclipse might fail if you use Oracle Java 7

Troubleshooting

Problem

If you use Oracle Java 7 and attempt to install IBM Worklight Studio by using the Eclipse P2 Update sites with Eclipse 3.6.2 or 3.7.2, the installation process might freeze (loop or wait forever).

Resolving The Problem

To resolve this issue, install IBM Worklight Studio on Eclipse with Oracle Java™ 6 (1.6) installed instead of Oracle Java 7. You might want to switch to Oracle Java 7 after you have installed the product using Oracle Java 6.
