Installing IBM Worklight and IBM Mobile Foundation with Installation Manager into a pre-existing application server displays an empty combination box

Troubleshooting

Problem

When you use the option to install into a pre-existing WebSphere Application Server Liberty profile, an empty combination box might be displayed for the "server name" field and then you cannot proceed. The combination box lists the existing servers.

Resolving The Problem

To install, you must have a server instance created first. For example, to create a server instance on a UNIX-based operating system, use the following commands:

$ cd WAS_LIBERTY_INSTALL_DIR/wlp/bin
$ ./server create
server_name

The new server name, which is referred to as server_name in the commands, is then available in the combination box and you can proceed with the installation.
