Deploy multiple Event projects to the Decision Server (for Operational Decision Manager)

In ODM, multiple Event deployments are combined at development time using the dependent projects feature.

You can use project dependencies to deploy several Event projects as one.

Suppose you have an Events project called ProjectA, which is dependent on another other projectProjectB .


When you deploy ProjectA to the Decision Server, all the assets of both projects should be visible using Event Designer.

You can check the list of assets using the following link (you would have to update the host and port number to reflect your environment):
https://localhost:9443/wbe/rest/r2/runtime/repository/assets

You should avoid any name conflicts (assets which have the same names in the different projects that are dependent on one another) since this would cause issues during deployment.

Below are detailed instructions on how to make ProjectA depend on ProjectB and then deploy ProjectA:
1. Import both projects into your Event Designer workspace.
2. Optionally, you can then create a folder (with a distinctive name) under each project's assets folder and move all assets under the newly created folder of the project, which makes assets management easier.
3. Make one project dependent on another: Right click on ProjectA, choose Properties > Project References and select ProjectB. You will then see assets belonging to ProjectB appear under ProjectA.
4. Rebuild ProjectA and correct any problems
5. Deploy ProjectA (ProjectB will be automatically deployed as well).
