SNMP Emitter to send SNMP traps to specific host destination port

Question & Answer

Question

Is it possible to set a specific host destination port for SNMP Emitter to send SNMP traps?

Answer

There are currently no controls that enable the SNMP Emitter to send traps to specific host names on specific port other then the default.

In the context of the Universal Agent SNMP data provider,
1. The environment variable KUMP_SNMP_TRAP_PORT may be set to tell SNMP DP to monitor specific trap listening port in addition to standard port 162
2. The environment variable KUMP_TRAP_DESTINATION may be set to specific host names of the SNMP Manager that receives traps that are sent by the SNMP Emitter. Multiple host names can be
specified with comma separator.
