IBM WEBi known problem: The installation program does not run on some Red Hat Enterprise Linux Version 6 systems

Problem

The IBM WEBi installation program requires packages that are not included in the default Red Hat Enterprise Linux Version 6 installation. If the packages are not installed, the IBM WEBi installation program cannot run.

Cause

This problem occurs when the following packages are not installed with Red Hat Enterprise Linux Version 6:

  • libXtst.so.6
  • libfontconfig.so.1
  • libXrender.so.1

Resolving The Problem

To run the IBM WEBi installation program on Red Hat Enterprise Linux Version 6, install the following packages from your operating system installation disks:

  • libXtst.so.6
  • libfontconfig.so.1
  • libXrender.so.1
