Problem
status.properties file in $NCHOME/precision/profiles/TIPProfile/etc/tnm can utilize parameters not in the default status.properties file

Diagnosing The Problem
The purpose of the status.properties file is to control the display of an alert status in the topology map of the GUI. $NCHOME/precision/profiles/TIPProfile/etc/tnm/status.properties file contains this information. In $NCHOME/precision/profiles/TIPProfile/etc/tnm/default contain all the installed default properties file. The status.properties file in the tnm/default directory can be used as a backup file to restored if there is a problem with $NCHOME/precision/profiles/TIPProfile/etc/tnm/status.properties file
Resolving The Problem
- status.tree.fastupdateperiod
It has a default value of 10 seconds and takes place before retrieving the status. The reason behind is that some users may want to see the status faster for the first time, but for the regular status update to have longer period. Customers would choose the appropriate for them value depending on how big is their navigation tree.
- status.tree.fastupdatecount
It has a default value of 1 and is used to define when the updateperiod should start taking effect. If the value is left to the default 1, the fastupdateperiod would take place only once. Then every other status retrieval would be done after the updateperiod has passed.
- status.tree.updateperiod
It has a default value of 20 seconds and takes place only after the fastupdateperiod has taken place for fastupdatecount times.
