IBM Support

Windows Authentication is not supported for Microsoft SQL Server database in IBM Business Process Manager (BPM)

Troubleshooting

Problem

IBM Business Process Manager V7.5 does not support Windows Authentication for built-in databases to authenticate with a Microsoft SQL Server database. This note applies only to Business Process Manager built-in databases; it does not apply to user databases accessed in IBM Business process Manager Advanced through the JDBC Adapter.

Environment

Resolving The Problem

Instead of using Windows Authentication for the Microsoft SQL Server database, select mixed mode (Windows Authentication and SQL Server Authentication) and use SQL Server Authentication.

Alternatively, you can use a different database, such as IBM DB2.
