How to launch Installation Manager directly on 64-bit systems for IBM Business Process Manager (BPM), IBM Business Monitor, or WebSphere Enterprise Service Bus (WESB)

Problem

Installation Manager can be launched directly on 64-bit systems.

Resolving The Problem

On 64-bit systems, if you want to launch Installation Manager directly instead of using the launchpad program, follow these steps:
Go to <your image_location>/IM and complete one of the following actions:

  • If you do not have Installation Manager installed, run: install -input install_64.xml

  • If you do have Installation Manager installed, run: install -input post-install_64.xml

This action starts Installation Manager with the correct products preselected.

Note: On UNIX-based machines, use ./install to avoid starting the operating system Install command when Installation Manager launches.
