Question & Answer
Question
What kind of certificates can be uploaded using the "Load SFTP keys" page?
Answer
The integrated SFTP Server can use either PEM or JKS/JCEKS/PKCS12 keys/certificates.
The WPG console navigation paths differs depending on the type of certificate uploaded, that is:
To upload JKS, JCEKS and PKCS12 certificates use WPG Console navigation path: Account Admin > Profiles > (choose for HubOperator) > Certificates > Load Certificate page.
To uload PEM keys use navigation path: Account Admin > Profiles > (choose for HubOperator) > Certificates > Load SFTP keys page.
When both certificate types are uploaded, the JKS/JCEKS/PKCS12 type overrides the PEM key and will be used as the Integrated SFTP Server Host key.
Currently the Load SFTP keys page does not perform key validation during the upload. That is, any file/certificate, along with incorrect passwords, is accepted. However, the Integrated SFTP Server runtime will only work if the PEM key is valid and the associated password correct.
