Abstract

You can look up APARs on the IBM Business Monitor / WebSphere Business Monitor Support page, then order the PTF from the documents on the Support page.

How to order a PTF from the Web:

1. For IBM Business Monitor V7.5, go to the APAR/PTF Table for IBM Business Monitor V7.5 for z/OS.For WebSphere Business Monitor V7.0, go to the APAR/PTF Table for WebSphere Business Monitor V7.0 for z/OS.



2. Click the APAR in the APAR column. This takes you to the APAR text.

3. Click Obtain the fix for this APAR.

4. Click on the PTF number link to get to the Get zSeries related fix Web site.

5. In the first column under zSeries TechSupport, click electronic delivery. This is available worldwide and does not require a service agreement.

6. On the next screen, provide your IBM ID and password to sign in.

7. Answer the questions related to delivery of the PTF.

  • For example:
  • ship fixes for known PTFs in error
  • ship superseding PTFs
  • pre-requisites, co-requisites and if-requisites.
  • YES is the default setting for these questions.
  • Type your email address, then click Continue.


8. On the next screen, click Submit to complete the request. You receive two emails from bldml:
  • Confirmation of request.
  • Download instructions for the FTP site and the location of the PTF.
