INGAMS OPTION "B" results in syntax error.

Troubleshooting


Problem

Selecting Option B Show Details from main INGAMS panel ends with a syntax error.

Symptom

Message AOF760E SYNTAX CONDITION TRAPPED IN INGRVAM3 LINE 315 (CODE 40) DESCRIPTION INCORRECT CALL TO ROUTINE is produced.

Cause

HSAMODLE DD concatention is missing from Automation Manager Procedure. Sample INGEAMSA documents how the HSAMODLE DD show appear in the Automation Manager Procedure.

Diagnosing The Problem

Check NETLOG for messages similar to:
AOF760E SYNTAX CONDITION TRAPPED IN INGRVAM3 LINE 315 (CODE 40) DESCRIPTION INCORRECT CALL TO ROUTINE
DSI052I PIPE COMMAND SELF-TERMINATED BY OPERATOR REQUEST

Resolving The Problem

Add HSAMODLE DD with its dataset concatenation as described in sample INGEAMSA. Stop and restart all Automation Managers that do not have HSAMODLE in their JCL procedure.
