Problem
You may receive the error "Error 1067: The process terminated unexpectedly" when trying to start the Windows service for WebLogic.
Symptom
When trying to start the WebLogic windows service you get an error message stating - Error 1067: The process terminated unexpectedly
Environment
Resolving The Problem
Uninstall the service then edit the InstallService.cmd that you created, since this does not come with WebLogic 9 and add the following variable:
set JAVA_VM=-server
Resave, and run the InstallService.cmd
