Problem
How can you insert Situations and Take Actions manually?
Symptom
ITCAM situations and actions are empty. All the support files have been installed correctly, data is being collected and data can be seen. |
Resolving The Problem
First, locate the two sql files for your product. In this example, we're using the ITCAM for SOA sql files. The two files to run are in this default dir: /opt/IBM/ITM/tables/cicatrsq/SQLLIB The names are: kd4.sql kd4_upg.sql You will need these 2 sql files for the steps 5 & 6 listed below: |
1. Change to the right directory first --> cd /opt/app/IBM/ITM/aix523/ms/bin 2. Run the "kdstsns" program as follows: ./kdstsns 3. The following will appear, where you will type in your TEMS IP or host name. Enter host name/address :(4B5A10AC.000E-2:kdhslqm.c,188,"add_listener") listening:: X.X.X.X (IP address) 4. Enter NCS Server Port Number (eg. 1024, ....):1918 5. Enter SQL member name (or "end" to quit) ... kd4.sql 6. Enter SQL member name (or "end" to quit) ... kd4_upg.sql 7. Enter: "end" 8. Restart TEMS. (Restart needed for changes to take effect). 9. Verify the situations and take actions are now visible from the TEP client. |
