Troubleshooting
Problem
When scanning in Capture to an Image Services Repository, an error 20441 - Host Processor Exception is received. Subsequently running the batch may generate a Post Scan Engine can not be found error. If barcode detection is turned off, a 20223 Bad Parameter error may occur instead.
Cause
This occurs when .NET Framework 2.0 gets installed on the Capture station. .NET 2.0 may conflict with some scanner drivers.
Diagnosing The Problem
If any of the above errors are experienced, check to see what versions of .Net Framework are installed on the Capture station. If it is 2.0, then this is the cause of the errors.
Resolving The Problem
- Uninstall .Net Framework 2.0.
- Reboot the computer and check to see if scanning is working.
- If not, reinstall the scanner driver, then Capture.
