Customer receives error: "Device not reserved" on a windows 2000 server when try

Resolving The Problem

Customer receives error: "Device not reserved" on a windows 2000 server when trying to run DocProcessing. Steps to resolve issue:

1. Uninstall Kofax Adrenaline (3.65, 3.75, etc)

2. Go to the kofax web site and run IP Snooper to clean any kofax remnants from the workstation.

Follow the instructions and run this utility.

3. Once you have completed this, reinstall the Kofax Adrenaline Runtime

4 .Re-test .

Make make sure you are logged in as the local administrator to the workstation as stated in the release notes.

Windows 2000/XP security settings
Local Administrator rights are required to run the following applications:
§ Capture Setup and Capture Manager - these are permanent restrictions.
§ Updating the Capture Statistics location from Capture Professional. This is a permanent restriction.
§ Kofax software, which includes Kofax Image Control for Scan, Kofax Adrenaline for DocProcessing (see STR 61639), and Kofax SVRS. This is a Kofax restriction.on.
