Troubleshooting
Problem
Tivoli Directory Server Instance creation may fail on Windows operating system, during the instance owner user creation part due to a user password which is does not satisfy the operating system password guidelines.
Cause
During the installation of ITDS V6.x - default options can be chosen to create a default instance.
ITDS V6.x instance creation and config utils may take a password which doesn't abide by the operating system password guidelines.
The configuration fails with the following messages:
(seen on console and also available in idsadm.log)

Resolving The Problem
Explanation for the message:
2245 - NERR_PasswordTooShort - The password is shorter than required. (The password could also be too long, be too recent in its change history, not have enough unique characters, or not meet another password policy requirement.)
Use a password which will satisfy the operating system password guidelines.
