Why do the properties of executables in the IBM® Rational® ClearCase® bin directory on UNIX® and Linux® of a 64 bit installation only reveal 32 bit properties, but not 64 bit?
Answer
This is expected behavior.
The 64 bit version of ClearCase is still a 32 bit application that was adapted to run on 64 bits platforms.
As 64 bit platforms become the standard, more and more development will occur to create 64 bit binaries.
