Problem

The Administration Center interface is new in Version 5.3. The following information may be useful in obtaining optimal performance with this interface.

Resolving The Problem

The attached document provides Tivoli Storage Manager Administration Center performance results and analysis as measured during execution of a subset of TSM administration tasks using from 1 to 16 concurrently active administrators. Also included are recommendations for optimal performance, capacity planning information, and performance problem determination information.

The attached HTML file contains a simple Tivoli Storage Manager Administration Center capacity planning tool based on the results and equations derived in the document. This tool requires the file be opened in a browser with JavaScript enabled.
