To improve the performance of incremental image copies, should I use TRACKMOD=YES or TRACKMOD=NO?
Answer
TRACKMOD=YES
Incremental copies run longer with TRACKMOD=NO, because every page must be read to see if it has changed rather than looking at the page changed flags in the spacemap pages. TRACKMOD NO was added to reduce application inter system interest in the space map pages in data sharing systems.
