How do I know what version of HATS I'm using to develop my projects?

Question

There are several ways to find out what version of HATS you are using.

Answer

For HATS V7, V7.1, or V7.5:
To find out what version of HATS Toolkit you are using, use one of the following methods:

  1. From the Start menu, select All Programs > IBM Installation Manager > View Installed Packages. All installed offerings including packages (with build numbers) and features are displayed.
  2. Open the IBM Installation Manager and select File > View Installed Packages.
The information under the Installed Packages header bar lists the version of HATS Toolkit you have installed. Be sure to expand the Installed Packages column to see the entire version number. To expand the column, place your mouse pointer over the separator bar between the Installed Packages and Vendor columns until you see a double-headed arrow (<->). Left click the double-headed arrow and move your mouse to the right to drag the separator bar until the entire version number is exposed in the column.



For HATS V6:
One way to find out what version of HATS Studio you are using is to check the WebSphere® Studio plug-in details.
  • In WebSphere Studio, click the Help menu on the menu bar.
  • Click the About WebSphere Studio menu item.
  • On the About WebSphere Studio window, click Plug-in Details.
  • In the window, there are gray header bars for:
    • Provider
    • Plug-in Name
    • Version
    • Plug-in ID.
  • Click the Plug-in Name header bar to sort the plug-ins alphabetically.
  • Scroll down in the list until you find HATS Plug-in.

The information under the Version header bar lists the version of HATS Studio you have installed.


The next method is the quickest way to find out what version of HATS Studio you are using:
  • In WebSphere Studio, click the Help menu on the menu bar.
  • Click the About WebSphere Studio menu item.
  • In the window, click the circled "H."
